The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 is not much different from past fourth-gen Sierra 1500 options. These cars debuted in 2019 alongside the new identical Chevy Silverado 1500. The most notable update for 2022 is the inclusion of GM's Super Cruise self-driving system. For the 2022 Sierra 1500, GM redesigned its Super Cruise system to work while towing trailers and pass other, slower-moving traffic. Beyond this, the exciting features in the 2022 model are common to all fourth-generation Sierra 1500 models. They have some fantastic driver- and trailer-assist features along with excellent towing specs and high-performance engines. The cabins are spacious and accommodating. Even if you do not option the new semi-self-driving feature, you are sure to fall in love with the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500.
The GMC Sierra was first launched in 1999. It was during this time that the GMC Sierra replaced the C/K pickup truck line. This meant that the Sierra 1500 would need an extensive redesign. When it was first launched, the Sierra offered regular cab and extended cab models. Once 2005 came around, a crew cab was added.
GMC decided to offer high-class versions of the Sierra in 2001. This is when the Sierra Denali came into play. In 2004, a hybrid model was introduced. The Sierra received a redesign for 2007 and again in 2014. As the years go by, the GMC Sierra continues to provide plenty of performance, safety, technology, and comfort features. Always making sure to please drivers and passengers, the Sierra proves to be an excellent choice!
