The 2023 Sierra 1500 has four powertrain options available. The base engine, standard on the Pro, SLE, and Elevation, is a 310-horsepower turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine with 430 lb-ft of torque. The other three engines are:
The Sierra 1500 comes standard with rear-wheel drive while four-wheel drive is available, and eight-speed automatic transmission is available on the turbo-four, while a 10-speed automatic transmission is available on the V8s and turbodiesel.
The Sierra 1500 Pro is a Regular Cab Standard Box model and is equipped with plenty of standard features for its technology, interior, safety and driver assistance, and exterior.
The exterior comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while four-wheel drive is optional.

The Sierra 1500 AT4X is a four-wheel drive Crew Cab Short Box model that carries over many of the Denali’s features.
