The interior of the 2023 GMC Canyon is unlike any average midsize pickup truck. It has premium appointments laid out by expert craftsmen to build a cabin with a luxurious ambiance.
The cabin of the Denali variant is the most elegant of all. It has laser-etched wood, leather upholstery, a Bose® premium sound system, and teak accents.
A six-way power driver’s seat is standard, along with automatic climate control and chrome interior door handles. It has a front center console, dual reading lamps, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Moreover, it comes with an eight-inch color touchscreen with Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and Bluetooth® audio streaming.
The body of the 2023 GMC Canyon is bigger and bolder than its predecessor. It has a tough-looking front fascia and sharp lines across its body.
The wide grille is eye-catching with its bulbous hood, flared fenders, slim halogen projector-beam headlamps with LED signature, daytime running lamps, and LED fog lamps.
CornerStep rear bumpers make it easy to get up to the bed. You will also be glad it has cab-mounted cargo area lamps as standard. The lamps will be useful if you are looking for something at night.
Other standard exterior features are a spotter mirror (for hardcore off-roading purposes), a remote locking tailgate, a hood insulator, and 17-inch wheels with all-season tires.
The 2023 GMC Canyon is available in the following colors:
The 2023 GMC Canyon has two powertrain options, and both are available for the two trims. But the more powerful, bigger displacement engine is reserved for the Denali.
The standard powertrain is a 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder turbo diesel. It produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Its other features include an exhaust brake, dual overhead camshafts, and direct injection.
The range-topping Denali has a 3.6-liter V-6 that makes 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. It has direct injection, variable valve timing, and a dual overhead camshaft design.
The 2.8-liter Duramax sends power to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the V-6 gets an eight-speed automatic transmission.
